Mid-Winter Conference Through the Years

Mid-Winter Conference began in 1997, hosted by Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College) and was designed to serve home educators in the region. RBC asked homeschool mom, Valerie McDaniel, to develop an event that would serve and encourage home educators and, in the process, give Reformed Bible College an opportunity to introduce their institution as a college to be considered for home educated young people. Reformed Bible College/Kuyper College was a wonderful Mid-Winter Conference host and many times after the event moved away from their location participated as an event sponsor. A few years down the road, the Home School Building also became involved as a sponsor.

Mid-Winter Conference brought in outstanding speakers and served large numbers of families. We invite you to scroll down this page to see the complete list of speakers who graced our stages at Kuyper College, Sunshine Community Church, Rush Creek Bible Church, Fair Haven Ministry Center, Grace Community Church and Life Stream Church.

In 2014 Mid-Winter Conference hosted the final conference which was a single day/single keynote format. This event was held at Life Stream Church in Allendale, Michigan. It was a wonderful way to close out a seventeen year ministry – ending with our original keynote – Chris Davis, who again brought us timeless wisdom.

We are grateful to God for His presence and leading through the years as our team of dedicated volunteers, vendors and speakers served the home educating families of this area!
